Auckland Art Gallery
Auckland Art Gallery has undergone a three year renovation resulting in an increase in exhibition capacity, seismic strengthening of some heritage sections; and the addition of educational, research and catering facilities.
To ensure stormwater runoff is adequately managed, designers were required to provide adequate drainage near the entrance.
As construction depth was restricted, ACO’s SlabDrain, comprising 100mm deep Polycrete
channels, was selected. To complete the system, Stainless Heelsafe Anti-Slip grates were also specified to ensure the metal surfaces would not trap women’s heels.
