TradeCoast Bus Depot, Eagle Farm, QLD
Australia TradeCoast is an 80 square kilometre industrial precinct near Brisbane Airport and the Port of Brisbane. Brisbane City Council recently developed a section of the site to accommodate a new Council Bus Depot.
Project Design Brief
Designers wanted to keep the pavement as flat as possible for safety reasons and required a trench drain with a built-in fall and a secure locking mechanism for it’s grates.

Benefits
- Each modular unit of the trench drain can be assembled to produce a 0.5% sloped run to ensure efficient drainage in flat pavements
- Iron Slotted grates are designed and tested to Class G (AS 3996) to withstand the heavy and regular wheel loads of buses
- Anti-shunt lugs secure each grate from movement and dislodgement from dynamic wheel movements and braking
