AMRF Building - Bradfield City, NSW
The Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility (AMRF) is an innovation accelerator located in Bradfield City, within the Western Sydney Aerotropolis precinct surrounding the new Western Sydney International Airport. AMRF specialises in advanced manufacturing, supporting projects across engineering and design, prototyping and testing, and providing access to appropriate equipment, technical expertise, and industry networks to accelerate product and project development.
Project Design Brief
With multiple pedestrian entrances incorporated into the project, designers needed to ensure effective capture of surface runoff while maintaining a high level of pedestrian safety. The final design required a series of strategically positioned linear slot drains to prevent water ingress into the building. The selected drainage solution is to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding pavement, feature narrow slots for heel safety, and provides discreet access for inspection and maintenance.
