Wintergarden Community Hub - Bundaberg QLD
Wintergarden Community Hub is a multi-functional facility supporting diverse community activities in Bundaberg’s CBD. The former Wintergarden Theatre was acquired by Bundaberg Regional Council in 2022 to preserve and repurpose the heritage building. The Council aims to optimise use of the asset by providing accessible, adaptable space that leverages its central location to enhance community engagement and service delivery.
Project Design Brief
Designers identified a need to increase street parking capacity along Maryborough Street and reclaimed part of the footpath to accommodate additional spaces. This modification necessitated the implementation of efficient drainage solutions to rapidly manage and remove surface run-off.
