Maintenance friendly lockable grates

All removable grates should be adequately restrained from movement by wheel traffic. Movement can cause damage to the trench and/or grate as once the channel is damaged the drain can become unsafe for pedestrians, noisy and expensive to rectify and aesthetics can be adversely impacted.

ACO offers only fast locking/unlocking devices removing the need for fiddly bolts, this saves time and money. Traditional bar and bolt mechanisms hamper access to the channel for maintenance (at best). At worst, it discourages maintenance all together.

The DrainLok mechanism simply clips into the channel edge rail for quick installation.

ACO’s DrainLok grates are fitted with anti–shunt lugs that restrict grate movement when installed, improving durability and longevity of the system. The locking system is kept close to the grate itself so that it does not impede the flow in the channel.

DrainLok – compatible with KlassikDrain & SlabDrain Grates

The QuickLok mechanism comprises a spigot fitted onto the grate and a removable QuickLok bar in the channel.

The QuickLok system locks the grate to the channel by aligning the spigot over the bar and applying pressure until they ‘snap’ together. QuickLok provides a secure boltless lock that is still easy to remove for maintenance and cleaning.

The PowerLok mechanism is a fast locking device which simply clips into the channel edge rail for quick installation.

ACO’s ductile iron edge rails have anti–shunt lugs that restrict grate movement improving durability and longevity of the system. The locking system is kept close to the grate itself so that it does not impede the flow in the channel. An optional safety clip is also available for higher security.
