Coulter Street Upgrade, Gladesville, NSW
The City of Ryde is committed to creating neighbourhoods that thrive and grow through sustainable design and planning. Recently, the council upgraded Coulter Street within Gladesville’s town centre specifically to increase footpath space, make landscaping improvements and to incorporate multifunction poles with street lighting.
Project Design Brief
A central part of the design brief was to make Coulter Street more pedestrian and bicycle friendly with footpaths widened to accommodate increased pedestrian movement. Surface water on wet days would need to be removed efficiently and grates had to meet legislative requirements for pedestrian use.
